online Ham Shack. In 1993 I recieved my first ham radio license (N3PRZ)
and been licensed since. In 2000 my license class was upgraded to
General after passing the CW test and the written examination. I still
hold a General Class and do plan on upgrading to Extra in the future.
My interest in Amateur
Radio vary, although not widely. I moslty enjoy aspects surrounding the
FM 2-meter repeaters. While in the Metro Washington, D.C. area, I like
to be on the 146.955 repeater. I also very much enjoy VHF contesting,
which I've been on many excursions, which you'll read about on this
site. From time-to-time I contest with a group known as "The Dark Side
of
the
Force" group head by Jay, K3JAY. Otherwise I am on my
own...typically as a Mobile Rover station. I also enjoy Emergency Communications on the VHF bands. Whether it's RACES, ARES, Skywarn, or other EmComm groups, or just on my own, I seem to do very well with extreme situations. I do play on the HF bands once and a while. HF for me is more about 'rag-chewing' (long conversations with one or two other stations). Especially when I get an english speaking foreign station. Italy would have to be my favorite country to talk to. The site is about featuring all my adventures and explorations into and around Ham Radio. At first, some pages will just be transferred from the old www.onlinejason.net site, then updated. Others will be updated as they are added/transferred.
