Charlie makes a sharp right turn away from Tampa and heads toward Punta
Gorda. |

Here's a shot of the "tunnel". A pedestrian
walkway covered with concrete reinforced brick veneer columns. This
spot keep us alive and a vehicle faired well. I sustained minor damage,
scratches and scrapes. |

This is another view, which shows my truck
a little more. |

Once the winds picked up, it was time to head
out. Here Doug Kiesling, President and owner of Break News Video Network
is getting some stock shots of the tropical force and weak hurricane force
winds. By this time (almost) everyone is off the street and sheltered.

Here's the courtyard area of the building
were took shelter next to. This is after the eye passed and we're
seeing the winds calm from hurricane force to tropical force winds. This
courtyard can be seen in many video shots. |

Chris Collura's car, although extreme caked
with leaf and other mor debris sustain no damage beyond a few scratches.
The same could not be said for my truck, or Jim Edds car. |
