Day 4 - May 16th, 2004

Tornadoes #1 and #2 today.  We've dubbed them the Rockville (no, not Rockville, Maryland) tornado and the Boelus tornado in Sherman and Howard Counties respectively.

A very rewarding capture of tornadoes after such a challenging day with forecasting and little agreement with models runs.  Amos spent a bit of time on the computer both the night before and in the morning.  We ran around quite a bit of Kansas and got lots of good footage.  Unfortunately both tornadoes we did see were very brief...not even long enough for us to pull over and photograph.  We do have them on video however, and frame grabs will later show what we caught.
